Snow, snow, snow...

It snowed all day. The wind-swinger hanging at my little garden got much snow. On this cold freezing day, I needed to go out for dinner items. Some computer lads were going to come over today. I took the same routine as I always walk. Head for TOBU, up to the 6th floor, check some houseware, go to HMV and buy Heat Mag, check Michel Klein then go to the food section.

New Years Cards

I have a friend who keeps sending me new years cards, which are draw by color pencils. It's been more than ten years since she has started. There is no exception, and the theme of the illustrations is always "Jonnys" (which is a famous TV boys group), every single year.

Here is the portrait. She said that she drew 45 cards this year!! Apparently she sends the cards to her bosses. Isn't she weird? Or should I accept that this is her special gift?

Challenge 2006

To signifiy my new appartment, I was tempted to make Osechi.
To start, I made soup from kelp and fish flakes, which is very important for any Oshechi items as it adds a delicate flavour. It was easy but
by the time I was halfway finished I was really exhausted and decided to skip some items. As you can see the king prawns which were just kind of thrown on the plate in the end.
Each dish seems to be very symple but takes a lot of time and effort.
It might be the first and last time I prepare Osechi.
